Here are a few reasons why an e bike may be your most convenient (and healthiest) form of local transportation.
Hills
It’s actually much easier to ride up hills on an e bike. With the power of the motor supplementing your pedaling, you’ll be able to ride up hills that you might not even attempt on a traditional bike. For many people living in hilly areas an e bike can make it possible to ride a bike when it wouldn’t otherwise be an option!
Parking
On an e bike parking issues are considerably reduced since bikes easily find parking. Its worth bearing in mind tho’ that security needs to be provided thru a bike lock if you park your bike in a non secure area.
Time
An e bike saves you time. It eliminates the time spent looking for parking. It eliminates time waiting for the bus (and often is faster than the bus). Traffic jams can be avoided via side streets. Over relatively short commuting distances an e bike is timesaving, practical transportation.
Health
An e bike is a great form of exercise. Using the bike will make you feel good. The power of the motor greatly reduces rider fatigue.
The Environment
An e bike is high-utility, low-impact transportation. A large percentage of cars are being used by individuals for surprisingly short trips of a few miles or less. Replacing the high impact of a single passenger car with the low impact of an e bike will make a positive difference for both the individual and environment.
Convenience
An e bike is an exceptionally convenient form of transportation. It’s simple and quick. Though it won’t carry two kids and the dog, it will carry two big bags of groceries and whatever else you want to load on the racks. An e bike can easily carry a child-seat or tow a child trailer.

An e bike can be cheaper than a gym membership, car insurance, or car purchase repayments. For some people, an e bike will replace the car for local trips. For others, an e bike may enable them to use a car significantly less or replace a car altogether. Either way, car operating costs are significant and growing.

We chose to stock Trek e bikes because whilst they are not the cheapest they do in our view offer very good value.
There is now a proliferation of suppliers of e bikes many of whom are new to the market.
We chose Trek because they have been around for a while as a Company and are known as a builder of quality bicycles.
Importantly they will be around for a good while longer yet.
This means they will not only continue to invest in the development of their products but they can provide spare parts for the bikes we sell.
They can also provide technical expertise when we need it. We can therefore provide local servicing and repairs for your e bike if necessary with support from Trek.This is something that an internet seller cannot do in most cases.If you have a problem with a bike bought over the internet you have to get the bike back to the seller for repair.
Trek also give our staff training on the technology they provide to us to help us maintain the e bikes.
